Ultraman UK Overall Race Map

Overview

A 3-day, 514.9 kilometre (320 mile) individual and relay ultra-endurance event which covers part of the region of Bala Lake – or Llyn Tegid as it is known in Welsh – which is in the town of Bala in Gwynedd County, and Betws-y-Coed in Conwy County, Cymru, UK.

Saturday September 3Stage 1 – 10.0 km (6.2 mile) 10.0 km (6.2 mile) out and back swim. Up the right side of Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) 5 km (3 miles), around a marker, and back to the same start point (as you look at the lake from Bala town end).

The swim is immediately followed by a one-loop (to the west) 144.8 km (90.0 mile) bike ride beginning & finishing Day 1 in Betws-y-Coed in Conwy County. Click here for details »

Sunday September 4Stage 2 – one-loop (to the south) 275.8 km (171.4 mile) bike ride beginning & finishing Day 2 in Betws-y-Coed in Conwy County.

Monday September 5Stage 3 – 84.3 km (52.4 mile) double-marathon run course follows the Mt. Snowdon marathon course, beginning & finishing Day 3 in Betws-y-Coed in Conwy County.

Time Limits – Swim (Stage 1) must be completed in 6 hours plus bike in 12 hours total, bike (Stage 2) in 12 hours, run (Stage 3) in 12 hours. All athletes will be timed with chip timing.
